Alpha Alpha Lodge

The Alpha Alpha Lodge is a place for members, alumnae, and visitors to enjoy. It provides space for meetings, sisterhood activities, and studying.  The great room is used for chapter meetings, movie night, and special events.  The library is designed specifically for studying.  The gathering room provides a space ideal for study groups, meetings, or just hanging out.  Members will use the leadership training room for workshops, group meetings, or a quiet study space.  The lodge has wireless capability as well as data port outlets throughout.  Members and Alumnae enter the lodge through a palm scanner at the rear of the building.  This red brick Georgian styled architecture building includes a full catering kitchen, an apartment for the resident lodge director, three covered porches, several large storage closets, and an entry way.  The Lodge is owned by the Chi Omega House Corporation and was built on property bought by Chi Omega in 1989.  The Alpha Alpha chapter was installed at what was then North Texas State College in 1953 as the first national sorority on campus.  There are currently 90 student members and more than 1, 400 alumnae.
