Alpha Alpha Achievements

The Alpha Alpha chapter of Chi Omega continually strives for excellence on the University of North Texas Campus . The 2007 school year was a tremendous success for the members of the Alpha Alpha chapter of Chi Omega. Our chapter achieved our academic goal of obtaining first in grades in our council and consistently having a chapter G.P.A. of over a 3.0 cumulative average. Our academic excellence and all around involvement did not go unnoticed as Chi Omega took home the Chapter of the Year award for 2007 as well as many other awards, including Greek Woman of the Year and Greek Week 2008.

We raised over $10,000 for our national philanthropy in 2007, which is the Make-A-Wish, by hosting our annual Frats at Bat softball tournament and our first ever silent auction. Hard efforts and hundreds of community service hours paid off when Chi Omega raised enough money to grant a wish to Marit, a terminally ill child. On October 21st, the Alpha Alpha chapter of Chi Omega hosted a send-off party for Marit’s friends and family at the Chi Omega lodge to see her and her family off to Disney World. With the help of the UNT campus and the Denton community, Marit was able to live her dream of meeting Cinderella at Disney World.

As Chi Omegas, we stand for service, scholarship, and strive for excellence in all aspects of life. By living through our symphony day in and day out, we hope to shape our members into mature young women.
